TRAVEL AGENCIES
Both Finangest and Finantur are both consultancies that
are referents in this business area. Our experience
in the market (since 1987) gives us an added knowledge
in everything related to the complicated world of travel
agencies, especially in accounting and taxation.
Employment counselling must also be looked at in depth,
since this business area has a special agreement, and
our experience allows us to solve those queries and
incidences that arise on a daily basis.
We provide our services to almost 100 agencies in a
very wide range of business spheres: from points of
sales with two employees to big agencies that organise
events and incentives, and have 40-50 workers. This
allows us to have a good perspective on this business
area.
Our goal is to ADVISE travel agencies. This means that
one of the necessary conditions is that the travel agency
has both administrators and computer software that links
the commercial management of sales and reservations
with an accounting application. We consider that, the
agency’s control, the agency’s task becomes
tremendously difficult without this tool.
COOPERATIONS WITH ASSOCIATIONS AND GROUPS
We cooperate with several associations (UCAVE
and AUSA), and management groups (UNIDA and GEA). We
carry out different assessment tasks and taxation and
accounting trainings.
TRAINING
Even though our primary function is not to train people,
we can be satisfied to have carried out very successful
taxation and accounting seminars and courses which have
been attended by more than 400 agencies in the past
eight years. We also have the prevision of carrying
out different courses for a small number of companies.
For these, we will use our new offices, since we have
a great continuous demand, and the ones we carry out
on an annual basis need a more costly and complicated
build-up.
IATA- ADVISING SERVICES
Regarding IATA, we can conclude that we know
in depth how everything related to the following: request
for new codes or subsidiaries, general requirements
or annual auditing of profit and loss accounts. Our
experience shows us that many agencies lack sufficient
(or even total) knowledge of the laws, which lead to
very costly bank guarantees).
MANAGEMENT CONSULTING AND AGENCY SET-UP
Lastly, we would like to insist on how specialised we
have become when it comes to building up a new agency.
This process requires very complex procedures, since
it is always necessary to obtain a license that is prior
to the activity’s start. This is different from
many other business areas, where the company’s
establishment date is coincident with the start of the
business activity. This is yet more complicated: the
different regulations in the different autonomous regions
make every case specific, which can cause enormous entrance
barriers in this business area.
Our services comprise anywhere from assessing the agency
in its search for a brand name, to all legal procedures
such as requesting company name, notary public, tax
payments, registry of companies, BORME, statutory books,
insurance policies, title/license management, IATA codes,
etc. Last but not least, we also aid in inscribing the
company in the Inland Revenue and the Social Security,
once all procedures are done with.
We make a review of the necessary tasks to be done
in our Questions and Answers section, although there
is a detailed manual of all requirements that can be
purchased at a price of 150 EURO (VAT included).
We have developed two reference books related to taxation
and accounting in travel agencies.
Here, we have compressed more than 15 years of our
experience. The explanation of these concepts is focused
in a very practical way, but still maintains rigorous
theoretical standards.
These reference books are constantly renewed, and are
fully available for our clients, who may access them
through the exclusive username provided by us.
Nevertheless, those travel agencies that are not our
clients may also download the necessary information
in their computer by simply following the instructions
given by the application. This information is organised
by topics.
